Lewis Statement on the Passing of Sen. Ted Stevens
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Jerry Lewis released the followed statement on the passing of Sen. Ted Stevens:
“Today, the nation has tragically lost a legendary patriot in Ted Stevens. His ferocious commitment to the State of Alaska will be forever unmatched, as will his love and pride for his country. I will greatly miss his profound determination, his sincere love and loyalty to our nation - and, most of all, his friendship.
“It is with heavy hearts that my wife Arlene and I offer our condolences to the Stevens family, and to the many staff, colleagues, and friends that served with him throughout his 40 years in the U.S. Senate.”
