The Subcommittee on the Legislative Branch will be holding a public witness hearing on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 on the Legislative Branch agencies' fiscal year 2010 requests. For those unable to make that date, you may submit your testimony for the record. Instructions for both are below.

TO REQUEST TO TESTIFY
Send an email request to lb.approp@mail.house.gov with the subject line: Request to Testify at Public Witness Hearing. The email should be brief and include:

• Witness name, position, and institutional affiliation
• Witness telephone number and email address
• Agency or issue you wish to testify on

Witnesses will be scheduled to the extent time permits. Additional instructions will be provided by email upon receipt of the request. Requests must be received no later than Wednesday, April 15, 2009. If you are unable to submit your request by email, please contact the Subcommittee at (202) 226-7252.

TO SUBMIT WRITTEN TESTIMONY FOR THE RECORD
Submit the testimony as a .pdf attachment to lb.approp@mail.house.gov along with your contact information. The subject line of the email should read Written Testimony for the Record.

The statement must conform to the following guidelines:

• Not exceed five pages;
• Single-spaced on 8.5 by 11 inch letter size paper;
• At least 12 point font and have one inch margins;
• Clearly indicate your name, title, and institutional affiliation at the top of the first page.

Testimony must be received no later than Friday, April 24, 2009 for it to be included in the printed hearing volume.
