Chairman Rogers Welcomes Rep. Andy Harris to the Appropriations Committee

Washington, Feb 14 -

The House Republican Steering Committee today appointed Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD) to serve on the House Appropriations Committee in the 113th Congress. Rep. Harris replaces former Congresswoman Jo Ann Emerson, who recently retired from the House.

Chairman Rogers welcomed Rep. Harris to the Committee, saying, “I look forward to working with Congressman Harris on the Appropriations Committee for the 113th Congress. His commitment to responsible federal spending will serve the Committee well as we navigate the uncharted waters of this precarious fiscal situation.”

Rep. Harris will serve on the following subcommittees: Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies; Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies; and Legislative Branch.
