  • Appropriations Committee Releases Fiscal Year 2019 Energy and Water Appropriations Bill

    May 6, 2018  - The House Appropriations Committee today released the fiscal year 2019 Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations bill. The legislation provides annual funding for national defense nuclear weapons activities, the Army Corps of Engineers, various programs under the Department of Energy (DOE), and other related agencies. The bill totals $44.7 billion – $1.5 billion above the fiscal year 2018 enacted level and $8.17 billion above the President’s budget request. Funding is targeted toward national security efforts – including nuclear weapons activities – and energy and water infrastructure investments. This level is in line with the overall discretionary caps put in place through the two-year budget cap agreement. ? More

    Mar 21, 2018  - The House Appropriations Committee today introduced legislation to provide all discretionary funding for the federal government for the 2018 fiscal year. The bill contains the full legislation and funding for all of the 12 annual Appropriations bills. It totals $1.3 trillion, including $78.1 billion in funding for the Global War on Terror (GWOT)/Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO). Total base funding, excluding OCO and emergencies, is $1.2 trillion. More

The bill, H.R. 4667, totals $81 billion, and targets funds to programs to continue relief and recovery efforts in all of the affected communities, including in Texas, Florida, California, Louisiana, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.   • Chairman Frelinghuysen Statement on New Supplemental Funding Request for Hurricane Recovery and Wildfires

    Oct 4, 2017  - The House Appropriations Committee today received a new request from the White House for emergency funding for hurricane recovery and wildfire aid. The request includes $12.8 billion for the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Disaster Relief Fund (DRF) and $576.5 million for wildfire recovery. Also included is $16 billion for debt relief for the federal flood insurance program, which now needs additional funds to make necessary insurance claims payments to individuals. More
