Rogers Statement on Rep. Frank Wolf’s Decision Not to Seek Re-Election

Washington, December 17, 2013

House Appropriations Committee Chairman Hal Rogers today made the following statement following the announcement that Rep. Frank Wolf, longtime member of the Committee and Chairman of the Commerce, Justice, and Science Subcommittee, will not run for re-election:

“Congressman Wolf has been a valued colleague, true statesman, and thoughtful appropriator over his last 34 years in Congress. His nearly 29 years on the Committee were marked by steadfast dedication to and compassion for those in his district, across this nation, and around the world.  He has fought tirelessly for the most vulnerable, and remains committed to doing the right thing. The Committee will truly miss him, but we are happy to have him continue his role as a leader and Subcommittee cardinal through 2014.”
