“Instead of catering to the biggest corporations and billionaires that despite record profits continue to raise their prices, House Democrats and the Appropriations Committee are once again introducing government funding bills that help the middle class, working families, small businesses, and the vulnerable who work hard. These allocations reflect our commitment to a framework for the upcoming fiscal year with three critically distinct components."
The House Appropriations Committee today released its reports accompanying the fiscal year 2023 Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies and Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies appropriations bills.
"The 2023 Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies bill makes our communities safer by increasing funding for local law enforcement who deserve our respect as they work day in and day out to protect us.”
"This bill strengthens our economy and supports the workers too often left behind. We will create tens of thousands of good-paying jobs in communities across the country as we deploy clean energy technologies and support economic and community development and job training opportunities."
"These investments responsibly strengthen our nuclear deterrent, protect our national security, and meet our obligations to environmental cleanup efforts. With funding to confront the climate crisis, increase energy security, and rebuild critical infrastructure, this funding will impact every corner of our nation.”
"This legislation meets the needs of the current moment and propels American energy independence and our nation’s security forward. Our bill continues the intensive focus on diversifying energy sources and managing precious water resources to sustain life on Earth."
“With this State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs funding bill, we are strengthening the global public health infrastructure which is critical to combatting the spread of COVID-19. We are supporting women and girls, combatting climate change, and increasing humanitarian assistance. "
"This bill creates a better and a greener economy, it confronts climate change, it supports Native American communities, and it fosters equity. I am so proud that, taken together, the investments in this bill ensure a safer and a healthier planet as we revitalize our economy and preserve our cultural heritage."
"The funding in this bill will revitalize our economy while protecting and preserving the land for future generations.”
