House Appropriations Chairman Rodney Frelinghuysen has announced the following senior staff changes at the Committee.
Maureen Holohan will move to the position of Deputy Staff Director. Ms. Holohan previously served as Chief Clerk of the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Subcommittee. Holohan, a graduate of the University of Maryland, has 28 years of federal service, including 16 years on the Appropriations Committee in a variety of professional roles.
“I am pleased to announce that Maureen is joining our ‘front office’ senior staff as Deputy Staff Director. She is a smart, savvy, and astute individual with extensive experience and an extraordinary work ethic. She will be a great addition as the Committee moves ahead to another challenging budget year,” Chairman Frelinghuysen said.
Jim Kulikowski, the current Deputy Staff Director, is leaving the Committee to become the Senior Advisor, Office of U.S. Foreign Assistance Resources at the Department of State. Mr. Kulikowski, a graduate of the Harvard College, School of Public Health and Law School, is a 22-year veteran of the Committee with 33 years of total federal service.
“Jim has been an integral part of the Appropriations team for many years. His vast experience and understanding of the Appropriations and political process has been invaluable to me, to former Chairman Rogers, to the Committee, and to the Congress as a whole. While his service to the American people will continue at the State Department, this institution will certainly miss his broad perspective, institutional knowledge, and commitment to getting things done right,” Chairman Frelinghuysen continued.
