Legislation Includes Continuing Resolution to Reopen Government Through February 8
The House today approved legislation to provide relief and recovery assistance for Americans affected by recent hurricanes, typhoons, wildfires, and other natural disasters. To ensure that the funding provided in the bill can be used to immediately assist disaster victims, the legislation also included a Continuing Resolution to reopen the federal government through February 8.
January 16, 2019 Press Release
This Continuing Resolution would provide an additional option for President Trump and Senate Republicans to finally take yes for an answer and bring the shutdown to its long-overdue end. It would reopen government through February 28, providing time for Congress to come to a full-year agreement without further jeopardizing vital services or the pay of federal employees.
