Mr. Speaker, I rise today in opposition to the Senate Amendment to H.R. 6833, a short-term continuing resolution extending government funding through December 16th.

WASHINGTON – Rep. Kay Granger (TX), the Lead Republican on the House Appropriations Committee, released the following statement on the passing of Congresswoman Jackie Walorski (IN).
"I am shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of my colleague, Jackie Walorski, and two of her dedicated staff members, Zachery Potts, her district director, and Emma Thomson, her communications director. My heart goes out to their families.
"Jackie was a wonderful person, and her passing is a great loss for Indiana and for our country."
