The subcommittee will host American Indian and Alaska Native public witness hearings on Tuesday, March 17, and Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

Washington, D.C. – This week, the House of Representatives passed the Commerce, Justice, Science; Energy and Water Development; and Interior and Environment Appropriations Act, 2026, with a vote of 397 to 28.
H.R. 6938 is expected to pass the Senate and be signed into law by President Trump next week, completing six of the twelve appropriations bills. Work continues on floor passage of the remaining FY26 legislation.

Washington, D.C. – Today, the House of Representatives passed the Commerce, Justice, Science; Energy and Water Development; and Interior and Environment Appropriations Act, 2026 with a vote of 397 to 28.
Appropriators have been making steady Article I progress, with three full-year appropriations bills signed into law and three more heading to President Trump's desk following Senate passage next week. All twelve full-year funding bills have passed through committee, and work continues on floor passage of remaining FY26 legislation.
