Chairman Cole Releases FY25 Programmatic and Language Request Guidance
Washington, D.C. – House Appropriations Committee Chairman Tom Cole (R-OK) today released guidance for Fiscal Year 2025 programmatic and language requests. Member request deadlines and Community Project Funding guidance are forthcoming.
Chairman Cole said in a dear colleague to Members, “I am pleased to provide information to begin the Fiscal Year 2025 House appropriations process. Starting today, Members can begin making programmatic and language requests for federal programs in the Committee’s database. Requests may include specific funding levels, report language, or bill language.
“In the coming days, the Committee will provide additional information that will enable Members to finalize their requests, including Community Project Funding guidance, a final subcommittee chair roster, and submission deadlines for each of the twelve bills.”

Background
- Programmatic Requests: Members may submit a request to fund a specific program or activity in the bill at a specified level.
- Language Requests: Members may submit a request to include specific bill or report language that does not direct funding to a particular entity but encourages, urges, or directs some type of action.
