Chairman Rogers Announces Two New Republican Staff Hires

WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Appropriations Chairman Hal Rogers today announced the hiring of Michael Robinson and Marta Dehmlow to the Republican Committee staff. Robinson will serve as Coalitions Director, where he will manage outreach and communications with non-government entities. Dehmlow will serve as Communications Assistant and New Media Director.

Robinson, a New York state native and Cornell University alumni, has 11 previous years of Capitol Hill experience. Most recently, he served as the appropriations and budget adviser for the House Majority Leader in 2005. Prior to joining the Committee, he was Director of Legislative Affairs for the American Trucking Associations.

Dehmlow, an Illinois native and graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans, joins the Committee after working as the Press Operations Manager for the Podesta Group, a bipartisan public and government relations firm in Washington, DC.

“We are pleased to have Michael and Marta join the Appropriations Committee staff. As we move forward in this challenging fiscal environment, the Committee and Congress will be well-served by their experience and efforts,” Rogers said.
