Granger Holds Biden Administration Accountable

Press Release

WASHINGTON – This week, Rep. Kay Granger (TX), the Lead Republican on the House Appropriations Committee, joined the Republican Leaders of three other House committees in sending letters to agency officials regarding rulemakings and other executive actions that clearly overstep the Biden Administration’s authority. The letters bring attention to West Virginia v. EPA, a recent Supreme Court decision reiterating that “all legislative powers” remain with Congress.

“The Constitution clearly states that Congress, not the administration, has the power and responsibility to legislate. Unfortunately, the administration continues to overstep its authority. Time and time again, the president has abused his power through executive actions – many times contradicting current law. Republicans will not allow the administration to undermine our system of government, and we are committed to holding President Biden accountable for his continued overreach.”
