Granger on the Labor, Health & Human Services, and Education Funding Bill

Press Release
WASHINGTON – Today, the Labor, Health & Human Services, and Education Subcommittee met to consider its appropriations bill for fiscal year 2020. The measure was reported out of the Subcommittee and is expected to be considered soon by the Full Committee.

Top Appropriations Committee Republican Kay Granger (R-TX) said of the measure, "I support the bill's long-standing pro-life riders and funding levels for the National Institute of Health, public health emergencies, and pediatric cancer initiatives.

"However, many provisions in the bill force a return to Obama-era policies and place unnecessary restrictions on federal agencies.

"As we move forward, I hope we can set a realistic funding level both sides can support and remove controversial policies."
