Granger Praises Much Needed Border Relief
WASHINGTON – Top Appropriations Committee Republican Kay Granger (R-TX) praised the passage of the Senate-amended Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act for Humanitarian Assistance and Security at the Southern Border.
"Hundreds of thousands of people have arrived at the border this year - more than 100,000 have crossed each of the last three months with 144,000 in May alone," said Granger. "Our nation is facing a crisis at our southern border, and it is getting worse by the day.
"I support this bipartisan emergency supplemental bill, ensuring much needed relief for the agencies and troops on the ground. This bill delivers care for children at the border and support for those that provide safety and security for the American people, without unneeded partisan policy riders.
"Relief is finally on its way!"
