Press Release
WASHINGTON – Top Appropriations Committee Republican Kay Granger (TX12) released the following statement after signing a Conference Report on Homeland Security Appropriations for Fiscal Year 2019. Granger was the lead House Republican on the Conference Committee and was instrumental in reaching a final agreement that funds the Department of Homeland Security and includes the remaining appropriations bills for the fiscal year.
“With only three weeks to negotiate and prevent an unnecessary government shutdown, the conference committee has developed a strong, bipartisan package. I am proud of the work my colleagues and I have done to provide the necessary resources to address the crisis on our southern border. I am hopeful that both chambers quickly pass our legislation and that the President signs it into law.”
