Press Release
WASHINGTON – Top Appropriations Committee Republican Kay Granger (R-TX) released the following statement in response to a two-year agreement to fund the government and avoid a default on our nation’s debt.

“The President drove a hard bargain in budget negotiations with Democrats, and he should be commended for the big win he secured for our nation’s military. This budget deal boosts spending for defense by more than $90 billion above the levels that would have gone into place next year, and it removes the threat of arbitrary cuts harmful to our security. Because of the President’s leadership, we now have a framework for completing the appropriations process and avoiding a government shutdown for the next two years.”
