The House Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies today released instructions for outside witness testimony submission for FY 2016.

Today, Chairman Charlie Dent (PA-15) and the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction and Veterans Affairs heard testimony from Robert A. McDonald, the Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). President Obama appointed Secretary McDonald to head the VA in July of 2014. This was his first appearance before the subcommittee to lay out the VA’s budget requests.

House Appropriations Committee Chairman Hal Rogers today announced new Subcommittee Clerks for the Commerce, Justice, Science Appropriations Subcommittee, and the Financial Services Appropriations Subcommittee.

The U.S. House of Representatives today approved the fiscal year 2015 Homeland Security Appropriations bill (H.R. 240), which will provide funding for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) through September 30, 2015. This is the last of the 12 annual funding bills to be approved by the House, and will now head to the President for his signature.
