Welcome to this afternoon’s Fiscal Year 2027 Member Day hearing for the Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies. I want to welcome my colleagues and thank them for testifying on the priorities that are important to them.

Good afternoon. I want to thank all of you for coming to today’s hearing to receive testimony from our colleagues. I look forward to hearing more about the projects, programs and issues in the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs Appropriations bill that are important to your district and to communities across the country.

Washington, D.C. – Last week, Appropriators on the National Security, Department of State, and Related Programs Subcommittee traveled to New York City for a bipartisan field hearing at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations. Chaired by Rep. Mario Díaz-Balart (R-FL), the subcommittee heard from the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Michael Waltz.
