Washington, D.C. – Today, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 7006, the Financial Services and General Government and National Security, Department of State, and Related Programs Appropriations Act, 2026, with a vote of 341 to 79. This package of bills makes targeted Fiscal Year 2026 investments to drive economic growth and entrepreneurship, support our Executive and Judicial branches, and safeguard American security and freedom at home and abroad. We are restoring commonsense governance and American strength to our policy posture, realigning investments to prioritize safety, strength, freedom - and a brighter future for the nation.

Thank you, Mr. Chairman, as Chairman of the National Security, Department of State, and Related Programs Subcommittee, I rise in strong support of H.R. 7006. This full-year funding bill to carry out our nation’s foreign policy is historic in many ways.
