WASHINGTON - Today, House Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Kay Granger provided the following letter to the Speaker of the House, the Honorable Mike Johnson, and announces that, following the completion of the Fiscal Year 2024 appropriations bills, she is requesting the GOP Steering Committee and Conference select a new Chair of the Appropriations Committee to serve out the remainder of the 118th Congress. She will remain on the Appropriations Committee as Chair Emeritus.
