WASHINGTON – This week, Rep. Kay Granger (TX), the Lead Republican on the House Appropriations Committee, joined the Republican Leaders of three other House committees in sending letters to agency officials regarding rulemakings and other executive actions that clearly overstep the Biden Administration's authority. The letters bring attention to West Virginia v. EPA, a recent Supreme Court decision reiterating that "all legislative powers" remain with Congress.

WASHINGTON – Rep. Kay Granger (TX), the Lead Republican on the House Appropriations Committee, released the following statement on the passing of Congresswoman Jackie Walorski (IN).

"I am shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of my colleague, Jackie Walorski, and two of her dedicated staff members, Zachery Potts, her district director, and Emma Thomson, her communications director. My heart goes out to their families.

"Jackie was a wonderful person, and her passing is a great loss for Indiana and for our country."

The package includes Transportation and Housing and Urban Development; Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration; Energy and Water Development; Financial Services and General Government; Interior and Environment; and Military Construction and Veterans Affairs appropriations bills for fiscal year 2023.
