The House Appropriations Committee today released the fiscal year 2016 Financial Services and General Government Appropriations bill, which will be considered in subcommittee tomorrow. The bill provides annual funding for the Treasury Department, the Judiciary, the Small Business Administration, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and several other agencies. The bill totals $20.2 billion in funding – $1.3 billion below the fiscal year 2015 enacted level and $4.8 billion below the President’s budget request.

The U.S. House today approved the fiscal year 2016 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development funding bill (H.R. 2577) on a vote of 216 -210. The legislation includes funding for the Department of Transportation, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and other related agencies.

The legislation includes funding for the Department of the Interior, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Forest Service, the Indian Health Service, and various independent and related agencies.
