The following Subcommittees of the House Committee on Appropriations recently issued Dear Colleague letters with guidance for Members' programmatic and language submissions for the fiscal year 2012 Appropriations bill: Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies; Subcommittee on Defense; Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government; and Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations and Related Agencies.
The House Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction, Veterans Affairs and Related Agencies circulated a "Dear Colleague" letter regarding Members' programmatic and language submissions for consideration in the fiscal year 2012 Appropriations bill.

House Appropriations Chairman Hal Rogers today spoke on the House floor in support of the Republican budget proposal put forth by Rep. Paul Ryan, Chairman of the House Budget Committee. The Ryan budget would reduce federal spending by $6 trillion over the next decade, prevent tax hikes, and reform entitlement programs to rein in the nation's unsustainable and job-crushing deficits and debt.
