The House Appropriations Committee today approved its proposed fiscal year 2018 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Appropriations bill on a vote of 30-22. The bill targets critical programs such as aviation security, border and immigration enforcement, customs activities, protection against cyberterrorism, natural disaster response, and efforts to stop the smuggling of drugs and people into the U.S. The legislation also includes $1.6 billion for physical barrier construction along the U.S. southern border.

The House Appropriations Committee today approved the fiscal year 2018 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development funding bill on a vote of 31-20. The legislation includes funding for the Department of Transportation, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and other related agencies.

The House Appropriations Committee today approved the fiscal year 2018 Financial Services and General Government Appropriations bill on a vote of 31-21. The bill provides annual funding for the Treasury Department, the Judiciary, the Small Business Administration, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and other related agencies.
