Chairwoman Foxx, Ranking Member McGovern, and esteemed members of the Rules Committee, I thank you for your warm welcome and your kind invitation to testify today. I appear before you today on H.R. 6938, a three-bill package covering the Commerce, Justice, Science; Energy and Water Development; and Interior and Environment appropriations measures for fiscal year 2026.

Washington, D.C. – Continuing its work to advance regular order and deliver results for the American people, the House Appropriations Committee today released the Commerce, Justice, Science; Energy and Water Development; and Interior and Environment Appropriations Act, 2026. Negotiated and delivered on a bipartisan, bicameral basis, the conferenced legislation makes targeted Fiscal Year 2026 investments to bolster U.S. energy dominance and nuclear deterrence, strengthen law enforcement and efforts to combat illicit drugs, expand access to critical minerals, and support wildland firefighters and responsible land management.
