Washington, D.C. – The House Appropriations Committee met to consider the Fiscal Year 2027 Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act. The measure was approved by the Committee with a unanimous vote of 58 to 0.

I would like to once again welcome everyone to the first full committee markup of Fiscal Year 2027. To Chairman Carter and Ranking Member Wasserman Schultz – thank you for your work in getting us to this point as we begin consideration of the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs bill. And to Ranking Member DeLauro, I look forward to another season of bipartisan engagement and lively debate.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Chairman Tom Cole (R-OK) announced the Republican Steering Committee's recommendation for Congressman Jefferson Shreve (R-IN) to join the House Appropriations Committee. He will be officially added to the roster following the adoption of a resolution on the House floor tomorrow.
