Top Appropriations Committee Republican Kay Granger (R-TX) said of the measure, "The Interior and Environment bill would fund many programs that have bipartisan support – maintaining national parks, preventing wildlife trafficking, improving water infrastructure, and suppressing devasting wildfires.

WASHINGTON – Today, the State and Foreign Operations Subcommittee met to consider its appropriations bill for fiscal year 2020. The measure was reported out of the Subcommittee and is expected to be considered soon by the Full Committee. While the bill funds many bipartisan priorities that support America's engagement around the world and promote our economic and national security, Republicans expressed their concerns about problematic provisions and the funding levels in the bill.

WASHINGTON – Today, the Full Committee met to consider two appropriations bills for fiscal year 2020 - the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Bill and the Legislative Branch Bill. Unfortunately, the funding in these bills is significantly higher than what is currently laid out in law, and many of the policy positions run counter to Republican priorities.
