The House of Representatives today approved the Department of Defense Appropriations Act (H.R. 3219) to provide funding for national security for the 2018 fiscal year. The bill, also known as the Make America Secure Appropriations Act, was passed on a vote of 235-192.

The House today passed the fiscal year 2017 Defense Appropriations bill on a vote of 371-48. The bill will now head to the Senate for approval.

The House Appropriations Committee today introduced the final version of the fiscal year 2017 Defense Appropriations bill, which will be considered on the House floor next week. The bill closely reflects the Defense Appropriations bill the House passed last summer, and is consistent with the final National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2017.
